Coney Island Revisited

Photo Essay: Coney Island Revisited

Just a quick train ride from Manhattan lies this place once described as ‘Sodom By The Sea.

It used to attract people looking for cheap thrills, wether that would be families going to the amusement park or junkies looking to score some drugs.

A lot has changed over the last decades, and a great thug of war has been fought between those who want to modernize and those who wants to keep the original vibe of the place alive.

Perhaps I was there too early in the day, because it was so quiet.

This was my second time here. Both my visits were a bit off season. None the less, I just loved the feeling of faded heydays. All the history.
